Responsibilities
Influence future mobile product design by providing technical expertise and engineering leadership, with a strong focus on the front-end design cycle
Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to define innovation strategies and generate customer-focused design concepts
Lead technical decision-making across multiple disciplines, including industrial design, usability, quality, and reliability
Develop and communicate design concepts using 3D CAD and FEA tools, and validate proof-of-concept prototypes for seamless integration
Drive design enablement with external partners, ensuring solutions meet specifications and are ready for integration into the product portfolio
Qualification
Required
9+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a proven track record of delivering innovative, high-quality designs
Deep expertise in engineering design principles, including large-scale production, sheet metal, injection molding, electrical interconnects, heat extraction, and vibration control
Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD systems (CREO preferred), with the ability to create concept models, analyze production designs, and clearly communicate technical ideas
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting mechanical simulations, evaluating design trade-offs, and ensuring optimal cost, performance, and quality
Collaborative mindset with experience driving design concepts forward, partnering effectively with internal teams and external development partners while thriving in both independent and team settings
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Hands-on experience in the design and analysis of electronics enclosures, with PC, server, or similar product experience considered a strong plus
Practical experience in machine shop operations and prototype building, demonstrating ability to translate concepts into functional models
