Responsibilities
Schedules and performs EKG’s, cardiac and Holter monitors, patient hook-ups and report generation
Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions, and inform physician/provider of significant patient complaints and/or arrhythmia
Prepare and monitor report results for interpretation by physician/provider
Tracks information on patient charts as needed. Documents in progress notes for patient communication
Escalate issues to manager or physician/provider
Assures correct charges and diagnosis are marked appropriately for billing
Performs other duties as may be assigned by management or physician/provider
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
1 year previous cardiology experience required
Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, conductive system, and ability to interpret cardiac arrhythmias
