Audience Development Manager
Autobody News is a leading media and marketing platform for the automotive collision-repair industry. The Audience Development Manager will be responsible for growing a qualified subscriber base, improving audience data accuracy, and ensuring effective email channel performance.

Responsibilities
Grow qualified subscribers (owners, presidents, managers, estimators of collision repair shops)
Improve the depth and accuracy of first-party profiles
Keep newsletters and automations healthy (performance + deliverability)
Translate audience behavior into insights and targeting that improves client ROI
Own the subscriber acquisition funnel across web, email, social, video, podcast, and paid
Run a steady cadence of conversion rate optimization (CRO): forms, landing pages, CTAs (calls to action), offers, and sources — with documented tests and learnings
Build and improve on-site capture systems (pop-ups, embedded forms, gated assets) and ensure tracking is clean
Launch and optimize paid acquisition on Meta, YouTube and/or LinkedIn — with a bias toward lead quality, not just low cost per lead
Maintain a clean, usable audience data model across ESP (email service provider) and supporting tools: dedupe, standard tagging, and reliable fields
Build progressive profiling flows that enrich records over time
Create segments that map to our core personas and advertiser use cases — and keep them current and usable for campaigns
Own the newsletter production calendar and execution: setup, QA, deployment, and ongoing performance improvement
Build and optimize lifecycle automations (welcome, re-engagement, win-back, intent-based nurture)
Protect inbox placement by managing deliverability fundamentals (SPF/Sender Policy Framework, DKIM/DomainKeys Identified Mail, DMARC/Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance), list hygiene, frequency strategy, and compliance
Build dashboards that leadership, editorial, and sales actually use — connecting web analytics, email performance, and database health (GA4 and/or BI tools)
Run ongoing micro-surveys and an annual audience insights survey; turn findings into clear recommendations for content plans, product ideas, and campaign targeting
Partner with Campaign Delivery and Sales colleagues to improve segmentation, targeting, and reporting so clients can clearly see reach, engagement, and audience fit
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience driving net-new qualified B2B subscribers and sustained engagement — optimizing for subscriber quality, not just list size (publisher/newsletter or niche vertical preferred)
Deep email marketing and automation expertise, including deliverability fundamentals
Strong first-party data instincts: segmentation, progressive profiling, consent, hygiene, and usability
Hands-on paid lead gen experience on Meta, YouTube and/or LinkedIn — and you care about lead quality
Comfort with light technical implementation (forms, embeds, UTM tracking, basic HTML/CSS) and working with developers when needed
