The Accounting Manager will support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial information.

Responsibilities

Assist the Controller in managing daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets

Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

Help maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies

Assist in coordinating with external accounting firms, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies

Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit requests and documentation

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Review account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies

Support system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives

Provide financial analysis and reporting to management as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Five or more years of experience in the accounting field

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a solid foundation in general computer skills and basic software applications

Excellent organizational skills

Effective time management and prioritization skills

Preferred

Construction accounting experience preferred
