Responsibilities

Lead the creation and execution of annual and multi-year strategic plans for marketing and merchandising functions
Guide cross-functional teams in aligning brand, product, and customer strategies with organizational goals
Translate high-level strategy into actionable roadmaps, KPIs, and performance objectives
Conduct and synthesize market research, customer insights, trend analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities
Evaluate consumer behavior, assortment trends, product performance, and brand positioning to inform strategic decisions
Collaborate with merchandising teams on assortment planning, product lifecycle strategy, pricing, and promotional frameworks
Support new product or category expansion initiatives with data-driven recommendations
Analyze product mix, margins, sell-through, and inventory health to optimize business performance
Partner with Marketing to develop integrated plans that strengthen brand visibility, customer acquisition, and retention
Assess the performance of marketing campaigns, channels, and programs; guide future investments based on ROI and analytics
Ensure merchandising strategies are effectively communicated through marketing and digital channels
Lead creation of financial models, forecasting scenarios, and business cases for key initiatives
Track performance against strategic goals and prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and insights
Identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas across marketing and merchandising activities
Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Digital, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of strategies
Facilitate planning meetings, strategy sessions, and communication across teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or related field
7–10+ years of experience in strategic planning, marketing strategy, merchandising strategy, or management consulting
Strong analytical skills with deep experience in market analysis, forecasting, consumer insights, and retail metrics
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex initiatives
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to executives
Proficiency with analytical tools and platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI/Tableau, Google Analytics, retail planning systems)

Preferred

MBA strongly preferred
Experience in retail, e-commerce, CPG, or a merchandising-driven environment strongly preferred
