Sr Workday Payroll IS Analyst

Responsibilities

Partners with Payroll Leaders and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities
The Senior Payroll IS Analyst builds and maintains the configuration of the Payroll system, creates project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning
This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing and implementation of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
Manages the build and configuration of the Workday Payroll System while providing Subject Matter Expertise to cross-functional teams
Manages projects/process improvement, including the following tasks: apply change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality and efficiency
Identifies and understand issues, problems and opportunities
Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals
Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles
Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation
Trains new system users
Provides production support, including; provide support for Workday and other Payroll Systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; participates in the release management efforts; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
Follows system governance and change control policies and procedures
Develop solutions to meet complex business needs utilizing system guiding principles
Develop reports to support the business needs

Required

Experience in Payroll
Project management
Education: Associate's Degree in a Related Field or equivalent experience in lieu of education
Ability to analyze work process design and flow
Ability to improve processes and leverage technological capabilities
Experience in building and maintaining configuration of Payroll systems
Ability to create project plans and ensure adherence to project schedules
Ability to work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning
Technical point-of-contact for data integrity, testing, and implementation of system changes
Experience in report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
Ability to apply change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality and efficiency
Interpersonal skills for working with various customers and peers
Ability to recommend process/customer service improvements and innovative solutions
Understanding of qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles
Experience in conducting training and developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation
