Sr Director Procurement
Strategic Storage Partners, LLC is focused on executing the Supply Chain function and is seeking a Sr Director of Procurement. This role involves establishing vision and strategy, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Establishes the vision and strategy to execute the Supply Chain function
Instills a service organization paradigm within the organization
Leads organization staff to perform the work in accordance with M&O Procurement Procedures Manual and related policies and procedures
Plans and supports project schedule, cost control, and claims management
Actively supports teamwork, interface and alignment with all project disciplines
Builds strong relationships with Project Team, Client, Suppliers and Contractors
Prepares staff labor forecast, management of staff selection, training, performance verification and evaluation
Leads the development of effective Procurement / Material Management and Contracts Management Plans that include client flow down requirements and the administration of Supplier and Contractor Pre-Qualifications, and bid list , RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, bonding and insurance requirements, recommendations, award approvals and issuance of purchase orders and contracts for safety related and non safety related equipment, materials and services
Ensures Supplier and Contractor compliance with the purchase order or contract
Perform Procurement and Contacts Risk Assessments and formulates mitigation strategies
Implements effective work processes and reporting through use of Procurement and Contracts reference systems procedures and project Initiation and administration checklists
Prepares Project Procurement and Contracts Monthly Reports and Project Final Reports
Possesses commercial and technical knowledge in procurement of equipment, materials and services that are required for development, award and administration of large and complex purchase orders and contracts
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience - minimum of 15 years experience, with 5 years in a manager role; Construction Management, or Business Law or equivalent
Knowledgeable of equipment, materials and services
Government Contracting experience in Contracts/Procurement
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
