The Experienced Heat Treat Furnace Technician will assist in the fabrication and repair of industrial thermal processing equipment and provide technical assistance to customers to ensure optimal performance of their equipment.
Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Fabrication and repair work as directed by supervisor of custom designed thermal processing equipment used in the aerospace, tooling, firearms and heat treating industries
Burner tuning & knowledge of combustion systems (can provide training)
Piping (air, gas lines)
Wiring (furnace control systems)
CAD reading/drawing (ability to read drawings and/or work with autoCAD/Solidworks)
Field service work on all brands of heat treat equipment
Ability to troubleshoot industrial heat treat furnaces and related equipment (burner, electrical, piping)
Provide immediate suggestions and repairs to resolve issues
Welding (stick, TIG, MIG)
Insulating (ceramic fiber blanket, modules)
Bricking (insulating fire brick, refractories, castables)
Work effectively with customers to address concerns and provide necessary technical assistance to correct irregularities or poor performance of equipment. Convey steps allowing for customer to prevent or address issues effecting production rates
Qualification
Required

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Background check and drug testing is mandatory for full time employment

2+ years work experience background preferred
Individuals with HVAC and residential furnace experience are encouraged to apply
