Responsibilities

Lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure
Manage projects; guide your team and clients through concept development, design review, bid package development, permitting, and construction management
Help develop construction documents; ensure that projects are consistently of the highest quality
Help lead the team in creation of signing and pavement marking plans, maintenance of traffic, and traffic signal plans for roadway projects and streetscapes in urban settings
Use state of the art tools and practices to help create sustainable multimodal transportation networks
Work on a wide spectrum of projects that inform design work, including road diet analyses, multimodal traffic studies for new development, roundabout studies, trail/roadway intersection studies and designs, and parking studies and design guidance

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering
Professional Engineering license (PE/PTOE) in Minnesota (or ability to obtain)
10+ years of experience
3+ years of experience in project or design management
A broad knowledge base in civil engineering
Understanding of basic geometric design principles of transportation facilities and industry transportation facility design standards
Proficiency in one or more of the following: MicroStation (including OpenRoads), AutoCAD (including Civil 3D)
Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape and hardscape layout
Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates

You have strong leadership skills and enjoy participating in multi-disciplinary teams
You are passionate about sustainability and the opportunity to work on challenging multimodal projects that make communities more livable
You enjoy producing high-quality work products and seeing your projects get built
You have strong communication skills, whether written, verbal, or graphical
You can build relationships, bring enthusiasm to exciting projects, and are detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
You have strong relationships working with other consultant teams as a prime or sub consultant
