Audit Collective is seeking meticulous and ethically driven Social Auditors to join their network for executing Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Audits. The role involves assessing and verifying compliance with RBA standards, labor laws, and company policies to ensure suppliers uphold fair labor practices and safe working environments.

Responsibilities

Conducting onsite comprehensive RBA social compliance audits for suppliers, factories, and internal facilities. Audits will use established RBA standards
Evaluating documentation related to labor practices. This includes, but isn't limited to, examining records for wages, working hours, child labor prevention, forced labor prevention, health and safety, non-discrimination, and freedom of association
Interviewing a range of stakeholders, from workers to management, to gather qualitative data and cross-reference information for a complete picture
Identifying non-compliance issues, risks, and areas for improvement, providing clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to drive positive change
Preparing comprehensive and accurate audit reports that clearly detail your findings
Staying consistently up-to-date with the latest RBA standards, applicable labor laws, human rights standards, and best practices within the field of social auditing
Contributing to the continuous development and refinement of auditing methodologies, tools, and training materials
Potentially conducting training sessions for suppliers or internal staff on crucial social compliance requirements

Required

Proven understanding of international labor standards, human rights principles, and widely recognized social compliance auditing methodologies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns of non-compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and defensible audit reports
Proficiency in conducting interviews and engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels
High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel

Preferred

Has held positions that have required facilitation, participation in or shadowing of social compliance audits
Experience with risk assessment frameworks related to social compliance
Knowledge of specific industry challenges and best practices in social responsibility
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline
