Director/ExecutiveGlobal DARE Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Adult Refsum Disease. They are seeking experienced, mission-driven leaders to join their volunteer Board of Directors to provide governance oversight, strategic guidance, and support for fundraising and partnerships.

Responsibilities
Support the mission of the foundation by providing your time, talent, expertise, and financial contributions (as possible)
Serve on at least one committee and/or hold one leadership position
Participate in raising awareness of Refsum Disease
Approve and participate in fundraising activities, including soliciting new donors to the foundation and helping generate new revenue each calendar year through either individual contributions, identification and cultivation of prospective donors, and/or other fundraising activities, and other in-kind contributions to the organization
Qualification
Required
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Scientific Research Expertise – Inherited Metabolic Disorders
Experience in AI and Rare Disease Innovation
Experience in Strategic Partnerships in Ophthalmology
Experience in Pharmaceutical & Drug Development Expertise
Ability to support the mission of the foundation by providing time, talent, expertise, and financial contributions
Willingness to serve on at least one committee and/or hold one leadership position
Participation in raising awareness of Refsum Disease
Approval and participation in fundraising activities, including soliciting new donors and generating new revenue
Active engagement in group discussions during the term
Timely response to requests and follow through on volunteer assignments
Staying informed and connected by reviewing the foundation website regularly
Utilizing connections through social media and other channels for fundraising or professional services
Clearly defining personal role when posting on social media
Preferred
