Mammography Tech - Breast Imaging - 138124
The San Diego Supercomputer Center is seeking a Mammography Tech to primarily perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures. This role involves ensuring operational effectiveness in the Breast Imaging area, collaborating with radiologists and clinicians, and maintaining continuing education specific to breast imaging.

Responsibilities
Perform screening and Diagnostic Breast Imaging procedures
Assist in interventional breast procedures
Responsible for operational effectiveness in Breast Imaging area with attention to patient flow, customer service, equipment oversight, Quality Control guidelines
Collaborate with Radiologists, Clinicians to implement new procedures, processes that ensure seamless operations
Maintain continuing education specific to Breast Imaging
Contribute to and participate in work organization, training and evaluation of staff as a member of self-directed work teams
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of principles of radiation safety
Demonstrate skills and knowledge via competency exams in all Breast Imaging procedures
Follow Radiology Imaging protocols and policies
Work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and call and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues
Qualification
Required
Complete certification training program for Radiologic and Mammographic Technologist
California Radiology Technologist of Mammography (CRT-M)
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of first hire date
Demonstrated PACS, Digital Mammography, and computer knowledge
Preferred
At least one (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Registered Technologist for Mammography issued by ARRT (R.T(M)(ARRT))
