Financial Portfolio Manager 1
Pinellas County Housing Authority is hiring a Financial Portfolio Manager I to help manage the financial health of their housing portfolio, including Section 8 programs and grant-funded properties. The role involves financial management, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and collaboration with property management teams.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Manage financial activities for assigned properties, including Section 8 and grants
Prepare and review journal entries, invoices, accruals, and reconciliations
Lead monthly close processes, including revenue and expense analysis
Analyze balance sheets, general ledger accounts, and financial trends
Prepare and monitor operating budgets and revisions
Lead budgeting and forecasting for assigned portfolios
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Provide clear financial insights to leadership, including the Board and Executive Team
Project cash needs and assist with banking activities, wire transfers, and investments
Prepare audit workpapers and REAC FDS reports for assigned properties
Ensure compliance with GAAP, HUD requirements, and internal controls
Serve as a financial partner to property managers and their teams
Contribute to the Authority’s broader goals and strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, public administration, business, or related field OR an Associate's degree in accounting with 10 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and public-sector accounting practices
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables don't scare you)
Proven problem-solving ability
Florida Class “E” driver's license and insurability
Preferred
Experience with Yardi
Housing Authority, HUD, or public-sector finance experience
