Akkodis is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer for a Contract with a client in Stamford, CT. This role drives cloud modernization by migrating applications and infrastructure to AWS using industry-best engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Lead the migration of VMs and on‑prem applications to AWS by assessing current architectures and implementing cloud‑ready solutions

Develop, enhance, and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS services, Terraform, and automated CI/CD pipelines

Build and maintain scalable cloud components leveraging EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Glue, Lambda, and other core AWS services

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define cloud best practices, application patterns, and modernization strategies

Troubleshoot cloud performance issues, perform detailed analysis, and deliver actionable recommendations

Ensure secure, reliable cloud operations through proper IAM configurations, monitoring, and adherence to cloud standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field

8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure design, or application modernization, with significant hands‑on work in AWS environments

Strong hands‑on expertise in AWS compute, storage, databases, integration, and core services (EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Glue, Lambda, IAM, networking, monitoring)

Proven experience in cloud migration, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD delivery using tools such as Terraform, GitLab pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
