Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage dealership cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and manufacturer requirements
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks, and tax professionals
Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements
Review and reconcile floorplan, inventory, and OEM statements
Provide financial analysis and reporting to ownership to support business decisions
Oversee title clerk and accounting staff, as applicable
Assist with year-end close and tax preparation
Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting or financial management experience (dealership experience strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with dealership management systems (HBS, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar preferred)
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
