Responsibilities
Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs
Respond to general inquiries and telephone calls
Respond to requests by researching information and take detailed messages. May be authorized to make decisions on routine matters as delegated by the supervisor. Refer problems to supervisor/manager for resolution
Verify information and data to ensure market compliance with regulations and procedures
Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking production and warehouse performance (including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, and service levels.)
Check documents for accuracy and completeness, cross reference information
Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets and databases to prepare for manager’s review
Maintain files, record keeping activities and confidential data
Problem resolution on a smaller or less complex scale or in a liaison role. May handle or assist in a segment of a project
Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collect and verify data
Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualification
Required
Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment
Effective communication both verbally and in writing
Excellent telephone and customer service ability
Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope
Perform cross-functional activities, and work on a varying schedule
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division
High school diploma or GED/equivalent required
Preferred
One-year clerical experience
Computer skills, data entry and word processing skills
