Responsible for all debt, asset, and investment accounting functions
Assists in financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Oversees the work of capital equipment and property accounting
Assists in year-end close and annual financial audit
Assists the preparation of the annual department budget
Regularly reviews all responsible processes for improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 8 years of directly related work experience or a master's degree (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience for Senior Manager, Accounting Management
Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 10 years of directly related work experience or a master's degree (or equivalency) + 8 years of directly related work experience for Associate Director, Accounting Management
Broad knowledge of the field with proven leadership skills
Experience in managing the activities of first-level managers and/or supervisors
Experience in financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Experience in overseeing the work of capital equipment and property accounting
Experience in assisting in year-end close and annual financial audit
Experience in preparing the annual department budget
Experience in regularly reviewing all responsible processes for improvement
Preferred
Experience in property, debt, and endowment and investment accounting
Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Candidates who are CPA-eligible per the State of Utah Division of Occupational Licensing rules may also be considered
Understanding of Financial Accounting Standards Board or GASB rules and guidelines
Proven experience in process improvement and implementation
