They are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to build and grow a book of business and progress into a Branch Manager role. This position involves managing customer accounts, overseeing freight movement, and transitioning into branch development and leadership.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow a portfolio of customer accounts within domestic ground transportation

Manage all aspects of freight movement from pricing through execution

Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and service delivery

Oversee shipments cradle-to-grave, ensuring service standards, margin targets, and compliance requirements are met

Leverage carrier relationships to secure reliable capacity and competitive pricing

Resolve operational issues efficiently and professionally

Transition into branch development once revenue metrics are met

Recruit, hire, and manage team

Establish operational standards and workflows for the branch

Own branch-level P&L

Required

3–5+ years of experience in domestic freight brokerage sales

Proven success managing a full desk (sales, pricing, operations, and carrier relationships)

Established customer and carrier relationships

Strong understanding of brokerage economics, margin management, and freight markets

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and scale a team

Professional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
