The role involves producing high-quality drawings and plans under the direction of licensed civil engineers, serving as a technical resource across multiple project types.

Responsibilities
Produce civil improvement plans, exhibits, and drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Draft plan and profile views for streets, pipelines, storm drainage, utilities, and grading plans
Create maps, diagrams, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details
Develop and manage Civil 3D surfaces, earthwork models, and quantity calculations
Generate heat maps showing cut/fill areas and support earthwork analysis
Review sketches, redlines, specifications, and engineering data for accuracy and compliance
Address agency and internal redline comments and revise plans accordingly
Understand drafting standards and submittal requirements for various agencies
Serve as the go-to resource for AutoCAD/Civil 3D questions, styles, and troubleshooting
Assist with conceptual designs using Google Earth, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
Support special projects and additional drafting needs as assigned
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
Strong background in civil/site or land development drafting
Experience with grading, drainage, and utility design
Familiarity with survey data, plan/profile drafting, and earthwork modeling
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong understanding of drafting standards, design techniques, and precision plan production
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Working knowledge of AGTEK (a plus)
