Associate Manager Human Resources

Responsibilities

Support and administer core HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy implementation
Ensure HR policies and procedures align with current employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and payroll
Assist in performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, and talent development programs
Partner with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational needs
Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting
Perform payroll and benefits reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Assist with monthly and quarterly HR-related accounting entries, accruals, and reporting
Maintain accurate employee records impacting payroll, benefits, and financial reporting
Support audits by providing HR and payroll documentation as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Maintain HRIS data integrity and support reporting for headcount, turnover, compensation, and benefits
Assist in the preparation of HR metrics and financial summaries for leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
3–6 years of progressive experience in HR, with exposure to payroll, accounting, or finance functions
Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
Hands-on experience with payroll processing, reconciliations, and HRIS systems
High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally

Preferred

Experience working in a multi-state or fast-paced environment
Knowledge of GAAP concepts as they relate to payroll and benefits
HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or accounting coursework a plus
Experience supporting audits or working closely with finance teams
