National Outside Sales Director

NASTECH CONSULTING is seeking a National Outside Sales Director to lead their sales strategy and expand their presence in the market. The role involves designing a national sales strategy, developing a rep network, and ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Design and execute a national sales strategy focused on expanding Chemical’s presence through manufacturer representatives and/or sales agents
Serve as the primary architect of the company’s rep-based sales model, including territory coverage, onboarding processes, and ongoing management
Partner closely with the CEO to align sales initiatives with overall company growth objectives
Recruit, vet, and launch manufacturer rep groups or independent sales agents in targeted geographic markets
Build the initial sales infrastructure required to support rep success, including tools, training materials, messaging, and reporting cadence
Establish clear expectations, roles, and performance standards for all rep groups
Design and implement commission structures and incentive plans that align rep behavior with company objectives
Develop sales goals, KPIs, and reporting metrics to drive accountability and performance visibility
Create a cadence for performance reviews, pipeline management, and ongoing coaching of rep partners
Lead sales efforts centered on Chemical’s road stabilization chemical products
Ensure reps are effectively targeting the ideal customer profile, with a primary focus on: Local governments, Municipalities, Counties and rural roadway authorities
Support reps in navigating long sales cycles, public sector procurement processes, and stakeholder engagement
Work closely with internal teams (operations, technical, and leadership) to ensure seamless execution from sale through delivery
Provide market feedback to leadership to inform product positioning, pricing, and future growth opportunities

Required

7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in chemicals, construction materials, infrastructure solutions, or related industries
Proven experience building and managing manufacturer rep groups or agent-based sales models at a regional or national level
Demonstrated success selling into local government, municipalities, public works, or infrastructure-focused markets
Strong understanding of commission-based compensation structures and performance management
Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working remotely while managing a geographically dispersed sales organization
