Responsibilities
Manage and expand the network infrastructure for our lab, office, and colocation facilities (e.g., switches, routers, VPNs, BGP)
Maintain the ever-growing set of development boards, servers, racks and networking gear that are part of our engineering lab, ensuring your remote colleagues can develop and test on them frictionlessly
Operate the shared storage system engineering and support relies on
Design, deploy, and operate corporate office systems including security systems, access control, and conferencing
Work with infrastructure colleagues to build and maintain communication and collaboration services for all employees in a remote-first company
Collaborate on and execute business continuity plans
Build and maintain the tools and automations you need for reliable and efficient results
Qualification
Required
Experience managing and expanding network infrastructure (e.g., switches, routers, VPNs, BGP)
Ability to maintain development boards, servers, racks, and networking gear
Experience operating shared storage systems
Skills in designing, deploying, and operating corporate office systems including security systems, access control, and conferencing
Experience collaborating on and executing business continuity plans
Ability to build and maintain tools and automations for reliable and efficient results
Experience administering infrastructure powered by Unix systems
Familiarity with illumos, or willingness to learn
Programming experience and willingness to get familiar with Rust
Strong documentation skills and appreciation for others' documentation
Excitement about a wide range of technical topics
