Responsibilities
Build automated systems to perform tasks and operations that are done manually today
Provide world class support to your colleagues across a diverse range of internal services and SaaS solutions
Manage and improve our company expansion by welcoming new employees to Oxide with onboarding training and improving the tools as you go
Operate and build upon access control across the company to ensure teams are safe and secure in their daily tasks
Create and manage infrastructure across multiple cloud providers including AWS, GCP, and our very own Oxide rack
Write code in different languages: Rust, TypeScript, Terraform, and more across different codebases
Monitor and maintain availability of internal services. Participate in the on-call rotation for critical services
Collaborate with colleagues in the decision making process for when to build versus buy systems. Organize and orchestrate the rollout and deployment of both internal and SaaS solutions
Identify areas for improvement in operations at Oxide, and find solutions to improve their resilience, rigor, and efficiency
Work with every team at Oxide and solve problems across the organization
Qualification
Required
Experience in building autonomous systems
Ability to provide world class support to colleagues across a diverse range of internal services and SaaS solutions
Experience in managing and improving onboarding training for new employees
Knowledge of access control systems
Experience in creating and managing infrastructure across multiple cloud providers including AWS and GCP
Proficiency in writing code in Rust, TypeScript, Terraform, and more across different codebases
Ability to monitor and maintain availability of internal services
Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation for critical services
Experience in collaborating with colleagues in decision making processes
Ability to identify areas for improvement in operations and find solutions
Experience in working with every team to solve problems across the organization
Empathy and a desire to build solutions that make work easy and fun
A sense of responsibility for the success of colleagues
Experience in writing code in Rust and TypeScript
Experience in building autonomous systems to improve workflows
Experience in applying SRE experience to tools and processes across an organization
Interest in automating tasks and helping out in different areas
Excitement about working with third-party APIs and writing API clients
Belief in fully documenting ideas and reading documentation produced by others
Comfort at a Unix terminal
Excitement about a wide range of technical topics
