Administrative Coordinator
The Franklin Regional Council of Governments is looking for an outgoing and organized Coalition Coordinator to support the work of the Western Massachusetts Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition (HMCC). This role involves connection and coordination to help healthcare partners prepare for and respond to emergencies, including organizing meetings and supporting regional preparedness projects.

Responsibilities
Provides meeting and activity coordination, technical assistance, and stakeholder engagement for the HMCC and several preparedness coalitions and committees
Coordinate meetings, events, and schedules for the HMCC and preparedness coalitions/committees
Ensure compliance with MA Open Meeting Law and adherence to committee operating principles
Maintain contact/resources lists, including the 24/7 emergency alerting list and alerting software
Support the program and committees in developing and executing stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies
Support and facilitate the development of regional project proposals and quarterly activity reports
Support procurement of supplies and services
Facilitate and maintain relationships with partners, provide orientation for new members, and develop/lead training sessions
Share responsibility for the 24/7 on-call duties of the HMCC, working remotely or in an emergency operations center during activations
Provide support to the HMCC Program as needed, which may include: Assisting with planning, training, or exercises
Assisting with stakeholder engagement strategizing and activities
Coordinate and collaborate closely with other program staff
Provide local municipal governments and other stakeholders in Western Massachusetts with technical assistance related to projects
Work with stakeholder advisory groups - this may include scheduling their meetings, communicating with them through minutes, newsletters, and phone calls, to receive and incorporate their feedback
Assist with the development of major projects such as regional emergency communication and coordination plans as needed
Work on other Emergency Preparedness departmental projects as assigned
Perform similar or related work as required, directed, or as situation dictates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in planning, communication, emergency management, public administration, or another related field
A minimum of two years of experience in emergency management, regional planning, communication, or related area; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 700, and HSEEP required within one year of hire
Preferred
ICS-300, ICS-400, and National Emergency Management Basic Academy or equivalent
