AMRAAM Senior Principal Program Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily program cadence, which includes CORE Control Room, Configuration Change Board (CCB), Material Review Board (MRB), risk review boards, defect management and resolution, customer reviews, Monthly Business Reviews
Drive continuous improvement and proactive Quality strategies
Resolve nonconformance issues and reduce the impact within the factories
Develop program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations, including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, and Ops
Interfacing with external and internal customers and key stakeholders to communicate strategy and provide updates after realized improvements
You will aid the supplier focused teams in implementing improvements in our supply base
Expected to support domestic travel as needed (<10%)

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience in the defense and/or aerospace industry
Experience implementing strategic plans spanning more than 12 months
Experience on Material Review Board (MRB)
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Advanced Degree
Experience organizing and executing meetings with cross-functional partners
Experience in manufacturing environment
Previous experience with AMRAAM hardware and suppliers
Experience presenting to senior / executive leadership
Experience with statistical evaluation tools
Experience implementing APQP methodology
Experience coordinating with product and functional teams
Experience with oral and written communications and people skills
