Responsibilities
Serve as the Program Lead for the concurrent execution of the Data Warehouse Migration and Power BI Implementation projects
Define overall program scope, objectives, and deliverables, managing the critical dependencies and resource conflicts between the two development teams
Develop and maintain a comprehensive, Program Plan, including timelines, consolidated resource allocation, and budget tracking
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including data engineers, BI developers, business analysts, and core IT staff
Oversee detailed assessment and analysis of the legacy Oracle data environment, including schemas, volumes, and complex dependencies
Manage the design and implementation of efficient ELT/ETL processes and data pipelines, ensuring data is cleaned and standardized during transfer to the target Snowflake environment
Implement a rigorous testing and validation strategy (e.g., comparing row counts, column metrics, and complex aggregation results) to ensure data quality and integrity between Oracle and Snowflake
Manage the process of converting Oracle SQL and proprietary functions/data types into Snowflake-compatible code and schema structures
Plan and manage the phased migration cutover, ensuring a clear rollback strategy and minimizing disruption to business operations
Drive the requirements gathering process by partnering with executive stakeholders and department heads to define core business objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Lead the design and governance of the Power BI Semantic Model (Dataset), ensuring all business logic, complex metrics (DAX), and relationships are centrally defined as the single source of truth
Establish a foundational BI Governance framework from day one, including naming conventions, documentation standards, dataset certification, and security controls (e.g., Row-Level Security)
Plan the deployment strategy (e.g., phased rollout, PoCs) and lead efforts to develop user training, documentation, and a support structure to drive user adoption
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing complex technical programs, specifically concurrent Data Warehouse migration and BI implementation projects
Demonstrated expertise in designing and governing enterprise-level Power BI solutions and Semantic Models
Proven experience in leading Oracle to Snowflake data warehouse migration projects is a significant advantage
Strong understanding of ELT/ETL methodologies, data modeling (Star Schema), and data transformation best practices
Expertise with database technologies (Oracle/Snowflake) and proficiency in SQL/PL/SQL
Demonstrated expertise in using Jira, Confluence, and Asana for program management, collaboration, and documentation
Preferred
PMP or equivalent program management certification is highly preferred
Experience in implementing BI Governance, including dataset certification and security models
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
