Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Analyst I in the Program Services section of the Office of Public School Construction routinely processes and recommends approval of School Facility Program (SFP) funding applications of average complexity by reviewing school district facility master plans, construction plans and construction cost estimates in order to assist school districts in obtaining state funding and to ensure compliance with appropriate laws and regulations
This position may require travel
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code
The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests
The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year

Required

Ability to effectively handle stress, multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with internal and external program participants
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
Demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work well as a team member in a collaborative team environment with all levels of staff and management
Ability to develop program regulations, procedures, policies
Willingness to travel within the state of California
