Responsibilities
Independently perform the design and production of audio and visual-aid materials for the communication purposes of the department
Take pictures using multiple types of cameras (e.g., cellular phone, action cameras, professional cameras)
Coordinate and manage contracts and contractors performing audio and visual work for the department
Develop and prepare the most difficult audio-visual materials for the department
Produce high-quality, complex audio-visual materials using Adobe Creative Suite (and other editing platforms)
Work with both video and still cameras, drone videography, camera lenses, audio recording devices, lighting equipment, teleprompters, sets and backdrops, along with miscellaneous peripheral equipment such as tripods, stands, video recorders, SIMM cards etc., in both single and multicamera production scenarios
Qualification
Required
Valid California Drivers License (CDL)
Candidates that believe they meet the Minimum qualifications based on a pattern of education from the classification description (specifications) must provide a copy of your degree/transcripts and/or license along with your application (STD. 678) to be considered for this position
If selected for the position official sealed transcripts will be required prior to appointment
Individuals who are new to state service must have list eligibility in order to gain employment with any state agency
Preferred
Associate's degree of higher in photography, visual arts, commercial photography, or a related field
Experience using unmanned aerial vehicles (i.e., UAVs and drones) for aerial photography
Professional experience in taking outdoor/scenery photos
Professional experience in taking indoor/office photos
Professional experience in taking professional headshot photos
