Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex server hardware issues
Perform hardware installations, replacements, and repairs
Maintain a high level of accuracy when following technical instructions and processes
Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and support troubleshooting efforts
Manage workload and priorities through ticketing and documentation systems
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational protocols
Work independently to identify and resolve system issues across supported equipment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2–3 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical field
Basic understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP
Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server hardware
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems
Associate degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent professional/military experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with server hardware
Experience working with ticketing systems
Understanding of storage devices and related technologies
Proficiency in performing hardware replacements and repairs
Knowledge of cooling systems, airflow, and power distribution fundamentals
Basic Linux/Unix command-line experience
Familiarity with ticketing and documentation systems
Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting (link checks, cabling, connectivity)
Experience with: Linux, VMware, Windows Server, General server administration
Daily passage through metal detection screening
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
Comfortable working in confined spaces when required
Ability to work in environments with temperature variability
Exposure to environmental allergens such as dust and airborne particles
Must adhere to all safety and security protocols, including restricted-area access procedures
