Responsibilities
Partner with GTM and G&A leadership to drive People strategy that aligns with business objectives, providing counsel that shapes meaningful priorities beyond checkbox HR practices
Act as employee champion and trusted advisor—managing complex employee relations while addressing wellbeing needs that enhance productivity and engagement
Design career development frameworks including job architecture, leveling guidelines, and promotion criteria that create clear growth paths
Coach managers to become world-class leaders who excel at career conversations, team development, and identifying stretch opportunities
Guide workforce planning decisions including org design, compensation philosophy, promotion frameworks, and ensure global compliance
Build Semgrep's L&D foundation—determining what HR structures we need now versus later, always prioritizing impact over bureaucracy
Qualification
Required
8+ years of HRBP experience, including supporting international teams
Experience building learning and development programs or career frameworks
Track record of coaching managers to become effective developers of talent, not just performance managers
Familiarity with modern L&D approaches and tools, with the ability to build scalable programs that don't feel corporate
Operational excellence with HR tech stack experience
Preferred
Prior experience in a fast-paced, tech environment
Experience with HR tech stack tools such as Rippling, CultureAmp, Pave, Carta
