Recruiter and HR Generalist
Simplesense builds, deploys, and sustains the Installation Resilience Platform that enables mission operators to rapidly adapt and respond. They are seeking a driven and organized Recruiter & HR Generalist to identify and hire top-tier talent while supporting day-to-day HR operations.

Responsibilities
Execute the hiring process for technical and non-technical roles, from posting jobs to coordinating offer letters
Proactively look for candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, and professional networks to build a pipeline of talent for IT and defense-focused roles
Conduct initial phone screens to assess technical fit, security clearance eligibility, and cultural alignment
Manage interview scheduling across multiple time zones and stakeholders using our applicant tracking system (ATS)
Ensure every applicant receives clear, timely communication throughout the process
Facilitate the new hire process, ensuring equipment, accounts, and orientation schedules are ready for Day 1
Assist employees with basic benefits questions (health, dental, 401k) and support open enrollment periods
Maintain accurate digital files and employee data within the HRIS (e.g., Namely, Unanet)
Assist with state registration filings and ensure labor law posters and policies are up to date
Help organize virtual or in-person team events and serve as a friendly resource for general employee inquiries
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of professional experience, with a primary focus on technical recruitment
Experience sourcing and hiring for technical roles (e.g., Software Engineers, DevOps, Analysts) or government contracting roles
Familiarity with basic HR concepts (benefits, onboarding, compliance) and a desire to learn more
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable reaching out to candidates and coordinating with hiring managers
Experience using an ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
High attention to detail and the ability to keep track of multiple candidates and administrative tasks simultaneously
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain government clearance
Preferred
Experience recruiting for government contractors (GovCon) or within the defense industry
Basic understanding of security clearance requirements
Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Namely, Unanet)
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
