Supervisor, Accounts Payable - P2P

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Procure-to-Pay process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, payment execution, and compliance with company policies while leading a team of AP specialists.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor AP specialists, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Oversee daily invoice entry, approval workflows, and payment runs in compliance with company policies. Handle escalated vendor inquiries and discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, and payments
Coordinate and complete month-end closing for AP; verify accruals, AP disbursements, and RNI reconciliations; prepare AP reconciliations and KPI reporting
Verify vendor setups across multiple ERP systems; authenticate bank credentials; troubleshoot onboarding issues
Monitor critical payments, clearing files, and EDI payment failures; audit and resolve uncleared payments
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve efficiency within AP processes, leveraging GBS best practices
Communicate effectively with internal and external partners regarding policies, vendor terms, invoice discrepancies, and GL inquiries
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the AP Manager
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience
Understanding of P2P processes and best practices within a GBS environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting or Business-related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in AP (preferred)
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
