Inside Higher Ed is seeking a Senior Multimedia Technician to manage, maintain, and upgrade technology in various venues at UCR. The role involves collaborating across departments to establish technology standards and ensuring effective management of university technology spaces and assets.

Responsibilities

Support, processes, and procedures related to managing, maintaining, and upgrading technology in UCR's large venue areas, conference rooms, classrooms, labs, and for event support

Work collaboratively across UCR to define specifications, plan for changes, implement and maintain the technology for the defined use

Collaborate across schools, departments and within IT to define effective standards, policies, processes and procedures for evaluation, acquisition, and ongoing management and maintenance of University technology spaces and assets

Ensure the technology deployed in supported spaces throughout the University is working as designed while continually reviewing and refining documentation and policies for these assets

Establish and maintain professional partnership relations with hardware and software vendors which enables early participation in testing and developing projects involving new and emerging technologies

Represent ITS at campus-wide meetings and represent UCR at system-wide and off-campus meetings, seminars and conferences
