Responsibilities
Design and execute test plans for trading, risk, and account workflows
Validate order lifecycle behavior (submission, modification, cancellation, fills)
Test risk controls (max loss, drawdowns, position limits, rule enforcement)
Perform regression testing on every release
Create and maintain automated test suites (API, backend, and UI where appropriate)
Simulate edge cases: partial fills, rejected orders, latency spikes, reconnects
Validate real-time data accuracy (P&L, balances, positions)
Partner with engineers to reproduce, diagnose, and prevent defects
Participate in release sign-offs and post-incident reviews
Qualification
Required
3+ years of QA or test engineering experience
Experience testing backend systems and APIs, not just UI
Strong understanding of test case design, regression testing, and bug tracking
Ability to think in edge cases and failure modes
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Preferred
Experience testing trading platforms, financial systems, or fintech products
Familiarity with trading concepts: orders, fills, P&L, margin, risk rules
Experience testing real-time systems (WebSockets, streaming data)
Experience with load testing or chaos testing
Scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
