Contribute to and complement pre-existing strengths in the School of Art
Develop and expand the undergraduate and graduate curriculum
Serve on MFA thesis committees in the fine arts graduate program

Required

Ph.D. in East Asian Art History or related field, or A.B.D. with expected completion Summer 2026

Preferred

East Asian art history, broadly conceived
Research and teaching engage with animation, print, OR new media
Ability to teach across media
Ability to develop courses across Asian art history temporally and/or geographically
Research and teaching address the Asian diaspora or trans-regional interactions
Experience teaching with objects, collections, or archives
Skills-based and culturally responsive teaching approaches
Active record of scholarly research, curatorial contributions, and/or other engagement with the field
3 years of teaching experience
Experience or demonstrated interest in advising and actively mentoring students
Expands rather than duplicates current faculty research and teaching strengths
