Responsibilities
Design, build, and enhance backend services and system components that support a scalable, high-impact platform
Contribute across the full stack while maintaining a strong focus on backend architecture, APIs, data models, and integrations
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into well-structured technical solutions
Provide technical guidance around Angular adoption, sharing practical experience and helping teams avoid common implementation challenges
Lead and participate in technical design discussions, documenting decisions, trade-offs, and architectural direction
Uphold high engineering standards through clean, maintainable code and thorough peer reviews
Identify and address issues related to performance, scalability, reliability, and data quality
Work extensively with relational data models, optimizing SQL queries and ensuring data integrity
Design and tune search and indexing solutions using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
Strengthen automated testing practices to support long-term system stability
Mentor junior engineers through pairing, reviews, and technical guidance
Contribute to process improvements that increase delivery quality and team effectiveness
Stay current with relevant technologies and recommend improvements aligned with platform goals
Qualification
Required
Strong experience developing backend services using Node.js and/or Python in production environments
Full-stack engineering background with a demonstrated backend focus
Hands-on experience with Angular (version 12 or higher), including an understanding of scaling considerations and common pitfalls
Deep knowledge of RESTful API design, service boundaries, and integration patterns
Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, complex schemas, and SQL optimization
Working knowledge of OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including query design and performance tuning
Strong understanding of data modeling, validation, and integrity in distributed systems
Experience designing and supporting cloud-native systems on AWS, including Infrastructure as Code concepts
Solid automated testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
Familiarity with Agile development practices and cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction

Experience collaborating with teams using React
