ECPI University is seeking instructors for their undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program. This role offers an opportunity for Mechanical Engineering professionals to share their industry experience and provide hands-on instruction to students in a supportive environment.

Required

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution
1 + years industry experience in a mechanical and/or manufacturing engineering field
Industry experience must be within the last 5 years
Appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required)
The highest levels of integrity at all times
Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment
Comfortable being first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students
Reliable high-speed internet required
Responsible for supplying your own windows-based computer and webcam
Your computer system must pass the ECPI University minimum requirements test
Required to teach one live session each week and hold one live office hour per week via Zoom

Preferred

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
7+ years career industry experience
Experience with Machine Tool Technology, CNC G-Code programming, and CAD/CAM software
Strong background in control systems, instrumentation and measurements, and mechanical systems
Experience in Drafting & Modeling
Experience in Engineering Mechanics
Experience in Manufacturing & machining
Experience in Machine Design & FEA
Experience in Thermal & Fluid Science
