Responsibilities

Build and maintain our native iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI, implementing new features with sound architectural patterns and best practices

Own features end-to-end: UI → API → integration

Integrate with and consume RESTful APIs

Extend or modify backend endpoints as needed to support new functionality (Laravel Backend)

Collaborate on API design and data modeling, making pragmatic tradeoffs

Debug issues across frontend and backend layers

Proactively identify and address bugs, performance issues, and technical debt

Ship production features with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and performance

Preferred

4+ years of experience building consumer-facing applications with native iOS apps in Swift

Proficient in Swift concepts (structs, optionals, generics etc.)

Familiar with popular architecture patterns such as MVVM / Clean and their uses

Experience shipping native iOS apps from development through App Store release, including provisioning profiles, certificates, code signing, environment configuration, and release automation, github actions, Fastlane

Comfortable working with backend APIs (REST, JSON, auth flows)

Hands-on experience modifying or extending an existing backend

Solid understanding of iOS and Swift fundamentals — including app lifecycle, memory management, concurrency, and how SwiftUI/UIKit interact — with the ability to reason about behavior beyond copy-paste patterns

Solid understanding of data models, authentication, and request lifecycles, API best practices

Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and take ownership of outcomes

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Firebase)

Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and automated build workflows

Familiarity with Firebase Crashlytics, performance monitoring, and release processes

Experience working in small, fast-moving teams

Product-minded engineering instincts (ability to think beyond implementation)
