The Senior Tech - Ultrasound is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ultrasound department, performing examinations and ensuring patient safety while collaborating with health team members.

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of Technical procedures
Assist Radiologist and Staff Physicians with test
Demonstrates ultrasound echo/vascular skills needed for all positions
Demonstrates good patient care
Utilizes the appropriate leadership skill in supervising students and providing feedback concerning student performance
Demonstrates good communication and problem solving skills
Is a professional role model for personnel
Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees
The ultrasound technologist will assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precaution
The ultrasound technologist will comply with appropriate and approved standards relating to: patients, infection control, and environmental issues
Qualification
Required
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, (ARDMS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
