Staff Accountant
Doyon, Limited is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the full fixed asset lifecycle and support financial reporting. The role involves maintaining accurate records, reconciling ledgers, and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities
Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals in accordance with GAAP
Record and maintain fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules within the ERP system
Reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis and investigate and resolve variances
Maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation and schedules for all fixed asset activity
Partner with logistics and operations teams to track company-owned equipment, including HaaS (Hardware as a Service) and internal employee equipment, using inventory management systems (e.g., Snipe-IT)
Support periodic physical asset inventories and asset verification processes
Compile and provide required data for annual property tax filings and other external reporting related to fixed assets
Assist with audit requests related to fixed assets, inventory, capitalization policies, and depreciation methodologies
Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including accruals, adjustments, and analysis
Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts related to assets, prepaids, and inventory
Maintain the general ledger in a complete, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with GAAP
Assist with sales, use tax filings, and maintain documentation for compliance and audit support
Assist with annual 1099/1096 processing and related reporting requirements
Provide requested financial information and supporting schedules for audits, tax filings, and parent company reporting
Demonstrate professional, clear, and effective written and verbal communication skills
Collaborate effectively with accounting peers, operations, logistics, and management. Communicate accurate information to appropriate stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when managing sensitive financial information
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant hands-on responsibility for fixed assets and month-end close
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and accounting systems (e.g., Dynamics GP, ConnectWise, or similar ERP platforms)
Outstanding ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Works well under stress, pressure, and deadlines
Well-organized, self-directed team player
