Responsibilities
Architect, design, implement, and test sensor drivers, messaging protocols, database systems, and/or inference stacks for AI models running on edge devices and GPUs
Build and maintain tooling for platform observability, provisioning/fleet management, calibration, and system reliability
Develop and optimize low-latency streaming and video processing pipelines. GStreamer/ffmpeg experience is nice to have but not required
Own integration and driver support for external robotic systems, including ROS2 nodes, SDKs, and hardware control interfaces
Qualification
Required
3 - 5 years of experience as a backend software engineer
Prior start-up experience (ideally working with hardware at a robotics, drones, self-driving cars etc company)
Proven track record at fast-paced start-ups or scale-ups (with a preference for former founders or founding engineers)
Experience working with hardware (e.g., robotics, drones, self-driving cars) and/or building fleet management backend systems
Strong technical fundamentals for backend systems
Preference for Rust and Go, but open to any modern language across the stack
High agency and proactively runs at tasks without much direction required
Preferred
Demonstrated interest in the robotics industry highly preferred
GStreamer/ffmpeg experience is nice to have but not required
