Responsibilities
Design and development of control software/firmware for multimedia processors
Design and development of Linux platform drivers and application-level software for multimedia processors
Implement efficient video processing pipelines for encoding, decoding, and transcoding
System performance analysis, design, and optimization
Hardware function verification of multimedia processors, as well as design and development of software test cases and tools
Cooperate to support several ByteDance businesses, including LIVE/VOD/RTC/Picture processing and etc
Qualification
Required
BS degree or above in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent fields
Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills
Solid programming skills in C/C++, At least 3 years of direct related experience in software development
Knowledge of video compression, including codec standards such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC
Familiar with Linux operating systems, with expertise in both application-level software and kernel driver development
Preferred
M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Familiarity with open-source multimedia frameworks such as FFmpeg and GStreamer is preferred
Knowledge of state-of-the-art video codecs, such as H.266/VVC, AV1/AV2 is a big plus
Knowledge of image/video and signal processing, both algorithm design and implementation (for example, Encoding rate Control, scene change detection, sharpen filter, ROI, adaptive GOP structure and etc)
Experience working on NPU&DSP development is a big plus
Strong execution capability, good communication skills, and team spirit
