Responsibilities
Investigate changes in the seasonality, generation mechanism, intensity, and intermittency of precipitation in the Southeastern US
Focus on hydroclimatic variability under climate change
Build strong links with collaborators in the Departments of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Tulane University and the Tulane ByWater Institute
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in a relevant field such as hydroclimatology, environmental science, or a related discipline
Experience in analyzing hydroclimatic data and modeling precipitation patterns
Strong understanding of land-atmosphere interactions and vegetation-climate relations
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in research and work environments
Preferred
Experience with fieldwork in hydroclimatology or related areas
Familiarity with statistical and computational tools for data analysis
Publications in peer-reviewed journals related to hydroclimatology or climate science
