5+ years expTeal Energi is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support engineering, construction, and commissioning for a major offshore wind project. The role involves critical engineering tasks related to inverter-based renewable generation systems and high-voltage offshore assets.

Responsibilities
Perform inverter-based resource power flow and system analyses (wind, solar, etc.)
Conduct NERC compliance studies, particularly PRC evaluations
Execute engineering studies for new generation assets, including:
Insulation coordination
Protection settings
Energization studies
Harmonic analyses
Provide engineering support during commissioning and troubleshooting
Participate in limited offshore work to support or verify field conditions
Collaborate closely with turbine suppliers, engineering teams, and external vendors
Contribute technical input to interdisciplinary project teams
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of professional engineering experience
Strong background with inverter‑based resource power flow and grid analyses
Experience with NERC compliance, especially PRC standards
Proficiency with insulation coordination, harmonics, and protection studies
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to lead or collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Preferred
Experience in offshore wind or renewable energy development
Familiarity with SGRE, GE, Vestas, SEMCO Maritime, or similar companies
Understanding of NERC‑CIP communications requirements
Professional Engineer (PE) license — preferred but not required
GWO (Global Wind Organisation) offshore safety/survival training
Not required upon hire; ability to obtain certification is acceptable
