The Shift Lead is responsible for assessing the needs of patients, educating them about cannabis products, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Responsibilities

Maintains strict inventory controls to ensure full, comprehensive regulatory compliance across all dispensary operations

Ensure POS stations are clean, stocked, and ready to go at store opening

Ensure Budtender opening and closing checklists are completed in a timely manner

Always maintain proper cash handling procedures

Ensure all customers are greeted as they arrive and wished farewell at their departure

Ensure all customers always receive excellent customer service, in every interaction

Inform management and supervisors of any low-stock product or inventory issues

Have a comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, the cannabis industry, and any relevant cannabis-related subject matter

Be knowledgeable of all sales and promotions, including in-store weekly/daily deals

Participate in staff events, outings, and promotional events

Read industry publications to keep up to date on current/future trends in the industry

Provide in-store new hire training and mentorship to incoming Budtenders with direction from Manager

Ensure your uniform is clean and that you are prepared for your scheduled shift

Perform other duties or projects, as assigned by managers

Required

High school diploma, or equivalent

1+ year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience or cannabis-related experience in a customer setting

Consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills

Previous experience with POS systems

Desire to continuously learn (more) about cannabis, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, and cannabis therapies - previous knowledge preferred

Ability to listen well and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various audiences

Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email

Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures

Must be 21 years or older

Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the Cannabis industry
