Interns - Manufacturing Engineer - Whitehall, MI (Summer 2026)
Howmet Aerospace is seeking highly motivated and energetic students for their Manufacturing Engineer Intern positions. Interns will assist with engineering projects and participate in a structured training program that includes hands-on experience and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities
Assist engineering with plant floor layout reconstruction
5S projects and standardized work development
Participate in plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, and networking events
Present projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026)
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in engineering in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial
AutoCAD, CAD/CAM, and Solidworks experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
Strong organizational skills
Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
