Howmet Aerospace is seeking highly motivated and energetic students to join their team as Quality Engineer Interns. The internship will provide structured hands-on training and involve assisting engineering with manufacturing issues, conducting root cause analysis, and presenting projects to management.

Responsibilities

Assist engineering with manufacturing issues relative to customer specifications
Conduct root cause analysis & corrective/preventative action as determined appropriate
Participate in plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, and networking events
Work on projects selected to add direct value to the business
Present projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors at the conclusion of the program

Required

Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026)
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in engineering in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Manufacturing or Material Science
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent dimensional and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis and suiting methodology
Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
