This role involves managing a team of 15 professionals and collaborating with executive leadership to provide insights that drive informed business decisions.

Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions, including Joint Interest Billing (JIB), Revenue, Operational Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Financial Reporting
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Manage internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
Provide financial insights and analysis to support business strategy and performance
Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors
Mentor, develop, and lead accounting staff to foster a culture of accountability and growth
Partner with operations and executive teams to support ongoing business initiatives and acquisitions
Qualification
Required
CPA license (active) required
10+ years of progressive accounting experience in the oil and gas industry, with upstream focus preferred
Strong understanding of JIB, revenue, and operational accounting processes
Proven leadership and team management experience
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with industry accounting systems and ERP platforms
Preferred
Public accounting experience highly preferred
