InternCommunity Health Alliance is a regional leader providing health and human services, and they are seeking Crisis Consultant Interns to provide hotline services including mental health support and crisis de-escalation. This role offers hands-on experience in community-based crisis intervention and training in trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities
Assist callers in crisis by providing emotional support, crisis de-escalation and safety planning
Utilizes active listening techniques to assist callers in de-escalating crises
Provides immediate telephone crisis management to callers identified at risk for suicide or other mental health emergency and assists in stabilization of the caller
Coordinates with other agencies and law enforcement as needed to assist callers in response to crisis
Establish a rapport with callers and assist the caller to handle the presenting concern
Maintains current knowledge of community resources to aid callers in providing appropriate linkage to needed services and supports
Maintains accurate and timely documentation
Qualification
Required
Must be 18+ years of age
GED or high school diploma required
Some college is preferred
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
Reliable and organized with attention to detail
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
