Responsibilities

Follow a written care plan to help clients stay safe and independent

Work closely with a Registered Nurse (RN) to follow a customized, written plan of care

Improve quality of life of the clients we serve on a 1:1 basis

Provide essential support including bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and feeding, ambulation and exercises, assist with self-administered medications, and companion care

Qualification

Home Health Aide certificationPatient care experienceEmpathyOrganizational skillsBasic computer skills

Required

Minimum one (1) year of verifiable work experience (does not have to be in the HHA field) or have completed a state approved HHA training course or vocational school program and satisfactory references

Pass a Home Health Aide (HHA) Competency Examination

Submit to a criminal background check in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations

Be at least 18 years of age

Preferred

Previous home health care or patient care are welcomed but not required

Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions and maintain simple records

Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect

Ability to travel to client's homes assigned
